Dancer Dress To Impress: 2 Outfit Ideas (Ballet and Street Dance)

A soft pink ballet look and a neon street dance look, built from free pieces with exact palette and material picks.

A soft pink ballet look and a neon street dance look, built from free pieces with exact palette and material picks.

Dancer is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox, and the game gives you nothing but the name. We read it as two dance styles and built one look for each in Freeplay Mode: a soft pink ballet look with knitted arm warmers, and a street dance look in one loud neon colour with black. There is our own picture for every step, and every piece, colour, material and pose used is free, so neither look needs VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: For ballet, wear the white strapless mini in pink Light Silk with pale pink knitted arm warmers, blonde curls and the Blossom pose. For street dance, wear a neon lime tee and drawstring shorts with black curls and the Confident pose.

Dancer outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits in the Dressing Room, what it looks like and the exact heart we used on the Default palette. Both looks are made from ordinary pieces: we found no tutu, leotard, ballet shoes or sneakers. Both keep the long curls with a small crown and gem that we were already wearing, only recoloured, and both are barefoot.

Look 1 (Ballet): pink mini and arm warmers

Two pieces make it: the strapless mini from the short-dress shelf and the knitted arm warmers on the table beside it. Pink and pale pink do the ballet work, and the arm warmers read as warm-up gear.

Open the Wearing panel and take off everything apart from the hair with the heart X under each picture. Our curls were still bright blue from an earlier look; they change at the end.

The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered, and the mini covers both.

Only the hair left on: the black top and shorts are the base body.
Go to the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room. On the bottom row, far right, stands a plain white strapless mini. Leave the pink dress with the heart cut-out at the left of the same row alone.

Click the white mini. The colour panel opens at “1/1: Preview” and a “Put On” label shows over the mini; click “Put On”.

Turn to the low table just left of the shelf. A white knitted arm warmer sits on a mannequin arm with a black glove. Click it, and the panel shows “1/1: Preview” with “Put On” at the bottom left; click “Put On”.

The Wearing panel now shows three pictures: the hair, the mini and the arm warmers.

Walk to the Freeplay Runway and click the mini’s picture in the Wearing panel. Set the material on the “+” tab to Light Silk, then pick pink on Palette (column 2, row 3). The mini turns pink at once.

Click the arm warmers’ picture and do the same with pale pink (column 2, row 2) and Light Silk. The change is slight: the warmers stay almost white, with a faint pink tint.
Click the hair’s picture. Set “1/4: Preview” to pale golden blonde (column 9, row 3) with Silk; the blue curls turn part blonde.

The finished look is a bubblegum pink strapless mini (it reads brighter on the runway than its heart on the palette), very pale pink puffed arm warmers, pale blonde curls worn half up and a pink crown with a deeper pink gem.

Open Poses and pick Blossom under Solo. It is on the same list page as Pearly, Crystal, Sparkle, Daisy, Twilight and Shimmer. Blossom is a soft pose with the head tilted and one foot set back, which keeps the look gentle.

Look 2 (Street dance): neon tee and drawstring shorts

Two pieces again: a tee from the tops shelf and a pair of drawstring shorts from the shelf on the left wall. One loud colour, lime Neon, does the work, with black for the trim and the hair.

Open the Wearing panel and take off the mini and the arm warmers, so only the hair is left. The curls are still blonde with the pink crown from Look 1.

The Wearing panel now shows the hair, the tee and the shorts. The tee’s picture there looks pale cream; that does not matter, as it gets recoloured next.

On the Freeplay Runway, click the tee’s picture and set “1/2: Preview” to lime (column 7, row 5) with Neon, then “2/2: Bows” to black (column 9, row 8) with Matte. From behind, the long curls hide the tee, so check it from the front at the end.

The finished look is a glowing neon lime tee over lime shorts (at runway distance the black parts barely show, and the two pieces read as one bright block), long black curls and a lime crown with a black gem.

Open Poses and pick Confident under Solo. It is on the same list page as Chic, Sleek, Pose 28, Velvet, Prism and Magica. Confident stands on one leg with the other knee raised and a hand behind the head: of the poses we used, it looks the most like a dance move.

Why these two looks fit Dancer

Ballet and street dance are the two dance styles most people picture first, and each has a simple colour story. Ballet is soft: pink and pale pink with light hair, and arm warmers as the one piece that says rehearsal. Street dance is loud: one neon colour against black, with a short, sporty fit. Pick one story and keep every piece in it. For more neon builds, see our DJ looks and Cyberpunk looks; the same strapless mini and arm warmers are yellow and red Neon in our Pop Art Princess looks.

How to recolour a piece and set its material

  1. Click the piece on its shelf, then “Put On” when the label shows. Once you wear it, click its picture in the Wearing panel to open its colour panel again.
  2. Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/3: Preview”, “2/2: Bows” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
  3. Open the “+” tab and click the material. We used Light Silk on the ballet pieces, Neon and Matte on the street pieces, Silk on the hair, and Metallic, Neon or Glitter on the crown and gem.
  4. Choose its colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and the bottom row runs from white to black).
  5. Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece after you close the panel.

To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. The Patterns tab sits next to Palette; we did not use it for these looks.

Dancer pieces to look for

None of these pieces has a name in the game, so look for them by place and shape. All of them are free and worked on our account with no VIP and 0 stars.

Poses for Dancer

We used Blossom for the ballet look and Confident for the street dance look, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the arm warmers’ table and the shorts’ shelf, try the colours part by part and check the look from the front and the back. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette hearts and which materials to go to when Dancer comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party and Enchanted Curse outfit ideas.

How a theme round works

We have not had Dancer as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Dancer to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Dancer, so these looks have not walked a real Dancer round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We saw no tutu, leotard, ballet shoes, sneakers or other dance-only piece; both looks are made from ordinary pieces. We kept the same curls-and-crown hairstyle in both and did not try a bun. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

Can you do the Dancer theme without VIP?

Yes. Every piece, colour, material and pose in both looks is free; we built them with no VIP, no Robux and 0 stars.

Is there a tutu or ballet shoes in Dress To Impress?

We did not see either, nor a leotard or sneakers. The ballet look uses a strapless mini with knitted arm warmers instead, and both looks are barefoot.

Where are the arm warmers?

On the low table just left of the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room, shown on a mannequin arm with a black glove. They are white; we recoloured them pale pink.

Where are the drawstring shorts?

On the top shelf of the left-wall shelf that holds shorts, gloves and stockings, second from the left. Click them from right in front of the shelf; a click from across the room did nothing for us.

Which pose looks like dancing?

Confident, a free Solo pose, stands on one leg with the other knee raised and a hand behind the head. For a softer ballet look, Blossom tilts the head with one foot set back.
