Top Model is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox, and the game gives you nothing for it beyond the name. Our reading: dress like a high-fashion runway model, with one strong colour story, sleek materials such as Leather, Silk and Metallic, and one statement piece. That idea is ours, not a rule the game sets. Below are two complete looks we built in Freeplay Mode from free pieces, an all-black corset look and a white corset mini, with every step, palette spot and material we used.
Quick answer: Go for a sleek one-colour runway look: a black Leather corset top laced in silver with a cropped studded-collar jacket and black curls, or a white Silk corset mini with dark thigh-highs and platinum curls, both with a silver tiara.
Top Model outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits in the Dressing Room, what it looks like and the exact palette spot we used. The hair in both looks is the long curls with a crown from Lana’s Salon, already on from an earlier build; its last two parts, “3/4: Crown” and “4/4: Gem”, are the tiara and the stone in it.
A new piece works the same way every time: click it once and it previews on your character with its colour panel open at part 1. Click the floating “Put On” label beside the piece when it shows to keep it on. A piece you already wear is recoloured from the Wearing panel: click its picture, step through its parts with the arrows beside the part name, and set a colour on Palette and a material on the “+” tab for each part.
Look 1: All-black editorial, Leather corset top and cropped studded jacket
Our idea: black from head to toe with a leather sheen, silver hardware as the only accent, and a laced corset as the statement piece. Both clothing pieces are on the Halloween display circle.

The black top and black shorts on the character are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered.

The corset is a top, not a dress, so the black base shorts still show under it. In an all-black look they blend in.

The small pictures in the Wearing panel keep each piece’s original colours (brown curls, a dark corset and a dark jacket), so judge the colours on your character, not on the panel.

The finished look is a black Leather corset top with a silver criss-cross lace-up front and silver studs, a cropped black jacket with long sleeves and a black studded choker-style collar worn open over it, the black base shorts, long glossy black curls and a silver tiara. It is barefoot. Chic faces the camera with one hand at the hip, a straight runway stance.

From the back, the long black curls cover almost the whole back of the jacket.

Look 2: White Silk corset mini with lace-top thigh-highs
Our idea: the reverse of Look 1, pale and soft-shine instead of black and hard. A fitted white Silk corset mini, dark thigh-highs for contrast, and platinum curls so the whole look stays light.
The black base top and shorts show again here. The white mini covers them.

Our first try on this dress used a gold-yellow with Metallic, and the bodice came out bright yellow rather than gold, so we redid every part in white. If you want gold on a white piece, check it on the character before you move on.

The finished look is a white Silk corset mini with boning lines down the bodice, a sparkly silver trim at the bust and a short slit at the hem, dark thigh-high stockings with a black lace top, long platinum curls and a silver tiara. It is barefoot as well. Sleek puts one hand on the hip and bends one knee.

From the back, the platinum curls cover most of the back down to the hem of the mini, with the dark thigh-highs below.

Why these looks read as Top Model
A runway model look is about polish, not a costume. Keep to one colour from head to toe, or one colour plus silver, so the outfit reads as a single line from the far end of the runway. Use smooth or shiny materials (Leather, Silk, Metallic) and a fitted silhouette, then let one statement piece carry the look: the laced corset and studded collar in Look 1, the thigh-highs against the white mini in Look 2. Finish with a pose that holds still and faces forward.
How to recolour a piece and set its material
- Click the piece on its shelf or stand, or its picture in the Wearing panel if you already wear it.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/3: Preview”, “4/4: Gem” and so on).
- Choose its colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette; columns are hues, rows run light to dark, row 8 runs white to black).
- Open the “+” tab and click the material, such as Silk, Leather, Glitter or Metallic.
- Repeat for every part, then click “Put On” for a new piece.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. Material tiles with a gold star are star-locked, so leave them alone if you have no stars. The material list carries the line “Some materials only work with higher qualities.” A colour can also look different once a material is on it: gold-yellow with Metallic turned bright yellow on the white mini, and cream with Silk read platinum on the hair.

Top Model pieces to look for

Poses for Top Model
We used Chic for the black look and Sleek for the white one, both free under Solo in the Poses menu, and both hold a still, forward-facing runway stance. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to try colours, walk the look down the Freeplay Runway and check that it reads from a distance. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Top Model comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar and Video Game Character outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Top Model as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes (Plaid Fashion, Birds of Paradise and Patterned tights). On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it, and the icon at the top centre opens a hint card for the theme. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players with the stars each earned, followed by an “Intermission” countdown of about a minute.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Top Model to roll.
What we have not checked
These looks have not walked a real Top Model round, so there is no score, star count or vote for them. We added no shoes, makeup, bags or props, and no jewellery beyond the tiara on the hair. Both looks were built with 0 stars and no Robux, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What does Top Model mean in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the name. We read it as a high-fashion runway look: one colour story, sleek materials such as Leather, Silk and Metallic, a fitted silhouette and one statement piece.
Can I do Top Model without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, colour and material used here worked on it. Leather, Silk, Metallic and Glitter are free materials; tiles with a gold star are star-locked.
Black or white for Top Model?
Either works, as long as you keep to one. The black look leans on Leather and silver hardware; the white look on Silk with dark thigh-highs for contrast. Mixing many colours pulls it away from the clean runway feel.
Which pose should I use for Top Model?
Chic (facing forward, one hand at the hip) or Sleek (one hand on the hip, one knee bent). Both are free under Solo.
Can I pick the Top Model theme?
Only with Theme Props, which cost Robux (the “Buy More” button shows 75). We bought none and saw no free ones, so the theme has to come up on its own.
