Jellyfish (searched a lot as “jellyfish dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: soft pastels that look almost see-through, a wet sheen, a bit of sparkle, long flowing hair that falls like tentacles, and a loose or layered dress for the bell. Below are two complete looks we built in Freeplay Mode, a pale pink moon jelly and a glowing aqua deep-sea jelly, with our own picture for the steps. Every piece, colour, material and pose used is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: For a moon jelly, recolour the white hooded robe beside the short-dress shelf pastel pink with Foil and add lilac-and-aqua curls. For a deep-sea glow, recolour the plum layered short dress aqua with Glitter and Foil, with blue Neon-streaked curls.
Jellyfish outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette. Both looks use the long curls with a small crown and gem that we were already wearing; they came in violet with a gold crown and we recoloured them on the runway. Both are barefoot: we wore no shoes.
Look 1 (Moon jelly): glossy pink robe and lilac-aqua curls
Our idea: a pale, floaty moon jelly. One long robe gives the loose bell shape, Foil gives it the wet shine, and two-tone curls do the tentacles. It needs one piece from the Dressing Room; everything else is colour and material, set on the Freeplay Runway.
The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered; the robe covers them in this look.

Then set “2/4: Preview” to aqua (column 5, row 3) with Foil. The curls turn pale aqua with lilac stripes running through them.

Set “3/4: Crown” to aqua with Glitter.

Finally set “4/4: Gem” to pastel pink (column 2, row 3) with Glitter: an aqua crown with a pink stone.

The finished look is a long, loose bubblegum-pink robe to the feet, shiny enough to look wet, with a lilac belt, long curls in lilac and aqua stripes, and an aqua crown with a pink gem.

From the back, the striped curls fall well past the waist over the pink robe.

Look 2 (Deep-sea glow): aqua layered dress and blue curls
Our idea: a jellyfish from deep water that lights itself up. A short layered dress gives the bell, a sheer Foil layer over a Glitter base makes it look glassy, and Neon streaks make the curls glow.
The black base top and shorts show again until the dress goes on.

Stand where you can see the dress. Our first spot put the character inside it, with its floating “Put On” at our feet, and one step left hid it behind a pillar. The view with the dress just behind the character’s head worked.

The Wearing panel now shows two pictures: the hair and the dress.

- “1/5: Dress”: bright aqua (column 5, row 4) with Glitter.
- “2/5: Sheer Overlay”: light aqua (column 5, row 3) with Foil. Over the Glitter base this layer reads a glassy turquoise.
- “3/5: Shawl”: lavender (column 3, row 3) with Foil.
- “4/5: Lace”: silver (column 2, row 8) with Metallic.
- “5/5: Overlay Lace”: lavender with Foil.

Set “2/4: Preview” to light aqua (column 5, row 3) with Neon. This part runs through the curls as lighter streaks, and Neon makes them glow.

Set “3/4: Crown” to silver with Metallic.

Set “4/4: Gem” to bright aqua (column 5, row 4) with Glitter.

The finished look is a short aqua dress that sparkles, with a glassy turquoise layer over it and lilac trim at the neckline and down the lacing, long blue curls with glowing cyan streaks, and a silver tiara with an aqua gem. The long hair covers much of the dress from the front.

From the back, the blue curls cover the dress almost completely.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Jellyfish
A jellyfish is soft, pale and a little see-through, so pick pastels and let the material do most of the work. Foil is the key: on a pastel it gives a wet shine, and on a sheer part such as the plum dress’s Sheer Overlay it turns glassy over a Glitter base. Long hair in two colours (part 1 and part 2 of the curls) gives the trailing tentacle look, and Neon on the second part makes it glow like a deep-sea creature. Keep to pinks, lilacs, aquas and blues, with silver for a cool accent. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.
How to recolour a piece and set its material
- Click the piece on its shelf or mannequin, then “Put On” when the label shows. Once you wear it, click its picture in the Wearing panel to open its colour panel again.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/5: Dress”, “2/5: Sheer Overlay” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
- Open the “+” tab and click the material, such as Foil, Glitter, Neon or Metallic.
- Choose its colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and row 8 runs from white to black).
- Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece after you close the panel.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. The Patterns tab sits next to Palette; we did not use it for these looks.
Jellyfish colours on the Default palette
Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. Column 2 holds the pinks, column 3 the purples, column 4 the blues and column 5 the aquas; row 8 is the white-to-black row. The crowns and the deep-sea Overlay Lace used the same colour families (aqua, silver, lavender).
| Colour | Column | Row | Material | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pastel pink | 2 | 3 | Foil, Glitter | Moon jelly robe; its crown gem |
| Lavender | 3 | 3 | Glitter, Foil | Moon jelly belt and first hair part; deep-sea shawl |
| Aqua (light) | 5 | 3 | Foil, Neon | Moon jelly second hair part; deep-sea sheer overlay; deep-sea hair streaks (Neon) |
| Blue | 4 | 4 | Glitter | Deep-sea curls (first hair part) |
| Aqua (bright) | 5 | 4 | Glitter | Deep-sea dress base and crown gem |
| Silver | 2 | 8 | Metallic | Deep-sea lace |
Jellyfish pieces to look for
None of these pieces has a name in the game, so look for them by place and shape. All of them are free and worked on our account with no VIP and 0 stars.

Poses for Jellyfish
We used Blossom for the moon jelly and Twilight for the deep-sea glow, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to try each part’s colour and material and see how Foil and Glitter change a piece before it counts. A sheer layer only shows what it does once the base under it is set, and with long hair you need to turn the character to see the dress at all. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Jellyfish comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus and Garden Tea Party outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Jellyfish as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Jellyfish to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Jellyfish, so these looks have not walked a real Jellyfish round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not see or use a jellyfish hat, bubble, tentacle or jellyfish skirt piece, and we did not use the Patterns tab. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is Jellyfish in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as a soft, pale sea creature: see-through-looking pastels, a wet sheen from Foil, a little sparkle from Glitter, long trailing hair and a loose or layered dress for the bell.
Can I do Jellyfish without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, hairstyle, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Is there a jellyfish skirt in Dress To Impress?
We did not find or use one for these builds, so we cannot say where it is or what it costs. Both looks get the jellyfish shape from a long robe or a layered short dress, with the colours, Foil and the hair doing the rest.
Which material makes clothes look see-through?
Foil. On the plum dress’s “2/5: Sheer Overlay” it turned the layer a glassy turquoise over a Glitter base, and on the robe it gave a wet shine. Glitter adds sparkle, and Neon on the second hair part makes the streaks glow.
Where are the robe and the dress?
The white hooded robe is on the mannequin just right of the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room, past the pillar. The plum dress is in the middle of that shelf’s bottom row, between the pink heart mini and the white strapless mini.
Which pose fits Jellyfish?
We used the free Solo poses Blossom for the moon jelly and Twilight for the deep-sea glow, which lifts one hand to the head and shows more of the dress.
