Wonderland Dress To Impress: 2 Storybook Outfit Ideas (Light Blue Set and Pink Robe)

Two free storybook looks for the Wonderland theme, with shelf locations, palette colours, materials and runway poses.

Two free storybook looks for the Wonderland theme, with shelf locations, palette colours, materials and runway poses.

Wonderland is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox, and the banner gives you only that one word: no character, no colours. We have not had it as a round yet, so the reading here is ours: storybook pastels in light blue, white, pink and lavender, ribbons, a crown on soft curls and one small red accent, like a page from a picture book. Below are two complete looks we built in Freeplay Mode, a light blue shirt-and-skirt set with a black neck ribbon and a long pastel pink robe with lavender curls, with our own picture for each step. Every piece, hairstyle and material used is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: Go for storybook pastels: a light blue shirt and mini skirt with a black neck ribbon, white godets, a red flower and blonde curls, or a long pastel pink robe with lavender curls and a gold crown.

Wonderland outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits in the Dressing Room, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette. Both looks use the same long curls from the hair-dryer chairs in Lana’s Salon. The crown and its gem are parts of that hairstyle, not a separate accessory, so you recolour them in the hair’s own panel. We kept the face we already had from our earlier looks.

Look 1: Light blue set with a black neck ribbon

Our idea: a short light blue top and mini skirt with white pleats, a black ribbon at the neck, a black crown worn like a headband and pale blonde curls. Both pieces come from one stand on the short-dress shelf.

Open the Wearing panel and take off what you are wearing with the heart X under each picture. We took off the four pieces of our last look (a crop top, a skirt, a jacket and fishnets) and kept the long black curls on, to recolour later.

Only the hair left in the Wearing panel.

The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered.

In the Dressing Room, go to the short-dress shelf: its lower row holds short dresses, including a pink mini with a heart cut-out. On the top row, the left stand has a pale blue shirt over a grey skirt. The full white hooded robe on the mannequin to the right of this shelf is the base of Look 2.

Click the pale blue shirt. The colour panel opens at “1/3: Shirt” with a “Put On” label; click “Put On”. The shirt has three parts: “1/3: Shirt”, “2/3: Shirt & Sleeves Ribbon” and “3/3: Neck Ribbon”.

Click the same stand just under the shirt’s hem. The panel opens at “1/4: Skirt” with a “Put On” label; click “Put On”. The skirt has four parts: “1/4: Skirt”, “2/4: Skirt Godets”, “3/4: Belt” and “4/4: Flower”.

Walk to the Freeplay Runway and click the shirt’s picture in the Wearing panel. Step to “2/3: Shirt & Sleeves Ribbon”, open the “+” tab and pick Silk, then choose black (column 9, row 8) on Palette. Do the same for “3/3: Neck Ribbon”.
Colour panel at 3/3: Neck Ribbon on the Default palette, the Wearing panel showing hair, shirt and skirt, the character on the Freeplay Runway
"3/3: Neck Ribbon" on black. The top still reads white here; its main colour comes in step 8.

We set the small details first and the main colours last; the order does not matter, because each part keeps its colour.

Click the skirt’s picture. Set “2/4: Skirt Godets” and “3/4: Belt” to white (column 1, row 8) with Silk, and “4/4: Flower” to red (column 1, row 5) with Glitter.
Colour panel at 4/4: Flower for the skirt, a small red flower at the hip of the white-looking skirt
The skirt's "4/4: Flower" on red.
Click the hair’s picture. Set “3/4: Crown” to black (column 9, row 8) with Silk and “4/4: Gem” to red (column 1, row 5) with Glitter. The black crown reads like a headband with a red gem at the front.
Colour panel at 3/4: Crown for the hair, the character with platinum curls on the Freeplay Runway
The hair's "3/4: Crown". The curls read platinum here, from our first try at their colour.
Now the main colour. Click the shirt’s picture again and set “1/3: Shirt” to light blue (column 4, row 3) with Silk, then click the skirt’s picture and set “1/4: Skirt” to the same light blue with Silk.
Colour panel at 1/3: Shirt for the shirt, the character from the front in a light blue top and skirt with blonde curls
The shirt's "1/3: Shirt" on light blue (column 4, row 3).

Our first try used the lighter swatch above it (column 4, row 2), and under the runway lights the top and skirt read plain white, so we went one row darker. Row 3 still reads as a soft pastel.

Colour panel at 1/4: Skirt for the skirt, the light blue skirt with white godets on the character
The skirt's "1/4: Skirt" on the same light blue.
Click the hair’s picture and set “1/4: Preview” and “2/4: Preview” to pale gold (column 9, row 3) with Silk. The curls turn pale golden blonde. Row 2 of the same column read platinum on our first try.
Colour panel at 2/4: Preview for the hair, the character with pale golden blonde curls and a black crown
"2/4: Preview" on pale gold: the curls turn pale golden blonde.

The finished look is a light periwinkle-blue top with a black neck ribbon, a matching mini skirt with white godets, a white belt and a small red flower at the hip, long pale blonde curls and a black crown with a red gem. We wore no shoes.

Look 2: Pastel pink robe with lavender curls

Our idea: one long, soft pink robe with lavender-pink curls and a gold crown, a dreamy storybook look that takes only one piece.

Open the Wearing panel and take off the shirt and the skirt with the heart X under each picture. Keep the hair on.

After taking the shirt and skirt off: only the hair.
Go back to the short-dress shelf and click the full white hooded robe on the mannequin to its right. The colour panel opens at “1/2: Preview”; we saw no “Put On” label for it, and when we closed the panel the robe stayed on.

The Wearing panel now shows two pictures: the hair and the robe.

On the Freeplay Runway, click the robe’s picture in the Wearing panel. Set “1/2: Preview” to pastel pink (column 2, row 3) with Light Silk. The white robe turns a soft pink.

The robe's "1/2: Preview" on pastel pink.

Step to “2/2: Preview” and set lavender (column 3, row 3) with Silk. This part is the waist belt, and it barely shows in our pictures. The hood did not show over the curls either.

Click the hair’s picture. Set “1/4: Preview” to pastel pink (column 2, row 3) and “2/4: Preview” to lavender (column 3, row 3), both with Silk. The curls read lavender with pink in them.

Why these looks read as Wonderland

Wonderland reads best as a picture book: soft pastels, one clear shape per look and a single strong accent the audience can spot from the stands. Look 1 keeps everything light blue and white, then adds black only where a storybook drawing would have its lines, at the neck ribbon and the crown, plus one red flower. Look 2 does the opposite and stays almost entirely in pink and lavender, with a gold crown as the only shine. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.

If you want a character in mind, Look 1’s light blue dress shape, black headband and blonde hair are our own nod to the classic storybook Alice; that is our suggestion only. The game does not ask for her or for any character, so a look that simply feels like a fairy tale in pastels fits the theme just as well.

How to recolour a piece and set its material

  1. Click the piece on its shelf or mannequin; when a “Put On” label shows, click it. Once you wear the piece, click its picture in the Wearing panel to open its colour panel again.
  2. Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/4: Skirt”, “2/4: Skirt Godets”, “3/4: Belt” and so on).
  3. Open the “+” tab and click the material, such as Silk, Light Silk, Glitter or Metallic.
  4. Choose the colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette; columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and row 8 runs from white to black).
  5. Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece after you close the panel.

To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. Material tiles with a star badge are star-locked, so leave them alone if you have no stars. The Patterns tab sits next to Palette; we did not use it for these looks.

Wonderland colours on the Default palette

Pastels in row 2 can wash out to white under the runway lights, so both looks use row 3. Check every colour on the runway before you move on.

Poses for Wonderland

We used Daisy for the light blue set and Blossom for the pink robe, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to try a colour part by part, see how a pastel reads under the runway lights and check the look from the front and back. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Wonderland comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Trip To London and Pop Art Princess outfit ideas.

How a theme round works

We have not had Wonderland as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Wonderland to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Wonderland, so these looks have not walked a real Wonderland round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not look for an apron, a bow headband, card prints, rabbit ears, striped stockings or tea-party props, and we did not use the Patterns tab. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

What counts as Wonderland in Dress To Impress?

The game gives only the name. We read it as storybook pastels: light blue, white, pink and lavender, ribbons, a crown or headband, soft curls and one small red or black accent.

Do I have to dress as a specific character?

No. The banner names no character, book or film. Any character you build from is your own choice; our light blue set is only a storybook nod.

Can I do Wonderland without VIP?

Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, hairstyle, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them. Silk, Light Silk, Glitter and Metallic are free materials; tiles with a star badge are star-locked.

Where are the light blue shirt and skirt?

On the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room, top row, left stand: a pale blue shirt over a grey skirt. Click the shirt for the top and just under its hem for the skirt, then recolour both.

Where is the long robe?

On the full mannequin to the right of the short-dress shelf, in white with a hood. Click it, close the panel and it stays on; then recolour it from the Wearing panel.

Which pose fits Wonderland?

Daisy, with both arms raised over the head, for the light blue set, and Blossom, with the head tilted and one hand at the waist, for the pink robe. Both are free under Solo.
