Beef Jerky is a food item: cured meat with something of a devoted following. Eating it raises your Hunger by 80, which makes it a solid pick when you need to keep your hunger in check on a long trip.
The map has 13 spots where Beef Jerky lies ready to pick up. Hunter's Glade and the Military Area each hold 2 of them, so either is a sensible place to head first if you are after more than one. Single spots turn up at Candlelight Inn, the Church, the Greenhouse and the Promenade (House Camp), which are worth checking if your route already passes by.
