The Lost Wife #1 is a recording that lies at Rat Queen's Crossing, a meeting place in Permafrost. The nearest fast travel post is Fast Travel: Solar Fields, about 90 m from the crossing in a straight line. The recording belongs to The Lost Wife, a side quest about a man searching for the woman he married.
On the recording, one of the Scavengers pleads for help. His wife, Helen, vanished one morning and he has not seen her since. He has hunted for her without success and asks anyone who hears the message to come to the warehouse and help him look. Like other recordings, it starts playing as soon as you pick it up, and the journal keeps it afterwards. You can play it again from the MEMOS page, which has Play, Pause and Stop controls.
