There Were Six Of Us: Magpie is a recording that lies in Charles' Park, an exploration zone. The nearest fast travel post is Last Stand, about 120 m away in a straight line. The recording is the speaker's farewell to Magpie. The speaker has lost faith in the Moon Cult, once hoped to be a way out, and blames themselves for pulling Magpie into it instead of keeping Magpie safe. Magpie's final message has turned up, but the speaker keeps it private. Finished with waiting, the speaker means to destroy the place and follow Magpie, and says that surviving would mean heading to a spot they shared long ago, before the Permafrost. The recording starts playing as soon as you pick it up. Recordings you collect are kept in the journal, where the MEMOS page lets you play, pause and stop them.
