One man's regrets…
In-game journal
Liam's Confession #1 is a tape that lies at Horizon, a safe zone, with Fast Travel: Horizon about 30 m away in a straight line. It belongs to the side quest Separated: Track down Liam's favorite spot, which Robyn gives after Horizon's Kitchen. Head out of Horizon's gate for a few minutes to a crag, then jump up the snowy rock ledges to the plateau on top, where you will see a collapsed tent, a cooler and a frozen body. The tape sits on the cooler, and a Recipe note beside it teaches Wooden Chest. The second tape is at the Wooden crate on the cliff edge.
On the tape, a man full of regret speaks to Connie, longing to share the nights they once spent at this spot with her again. It starts playing on its own as soon as you pick it up. Picked-up tapes are kept in the journal, and the MEMOS page lets you Play, Pause and Stop them.
