The recording from Robyn's missing father…
In-game journal
Ethan's Past #1 is a tape lying out in the open, away from any named place, and it goes into your journal once you pick it up. It belongs to Ethan's Past, a side quest that sends you to find out what became of Ethan in the Solar Fields.
On the tape, Robyn's father, Ethan Cane, introduces himself as a former sheriff who now heads a band of people living on the edge of town. He is scouting the solar site with a small team because people keep vanishing there. He mentions lights seen overhead one night and camps left empty, with belongings and even clothing left behind but nobody around to claim them. He ends by saying the team is heading north to a warehouse. The tape starts playing by itself as soon as you pick it up, and the journal keeps the tapes you collect, so you can replay this one from the MEMOS page with Play, Pause and Stop.
