Garden Tea Party (searched a lot as “garden tea party dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: an afternoon tea outdoors, which means soft pastels such as mint, pink, lilac and butter yellow, ruffles and bows, and a wide sun hat. Below are two complete looks we built in Freeplay Mode, a mint-and-pink tea dress and a lilac ruffled coat set, with our own pictures for the steps. Every piece, colour, material and pose used is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: Wear soft pastels under a wide white sun hat. Recolour the pale blue shirt and skirt on the short-dress shelf mint and pastel pink, or the ruffled coat set and its bloomers lilac with pale yellow and white trim.
Garden Tea Party outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette. Both looks share the wide sun hat and the long curls with a small crown and gem that we were already wearing (they started bright blue), and both are barefoot: we wore no shoes.
Look 1: Mint and pink tea dress with a white sun hat
Our idea: a fresh garden outfit in mint and pink, with white pleats in the skirt and a deep pink flower at the belt. The shirt and skirt share one stand on the short-dress shelf, and the sun hat sits on a mannequin beside the tops shelf.
The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered; the shirt and skirt cover them in this look.

If the camera ends up inside the shelf when you arrive, go back and walk to the shelf again; our second try gave a clean view of the stands.

The Wearing panel now shows three pictures: the hair, the shirt and the skirt.

The Wearing panel now shows four pictures: hair, shirt, skirt and the hat.

The sun hat is so wide that from the normal high runway camera it hides almost everything under it, so in these recolour views only the panel and the hat are clear. Then set “2/3: Shirt & Sleeves Ribbon” and “3/3: Neck Ribbon” to pastel pink (column 2, row 3) with Silk.

Set “3/4: Belt” to mint with Silk, and “4/4: Flower” to a deeper pink (column 2, row 4) with Glitter.

Set “2/3: Ribbon” to pastel pink with Silk and “3/3: Lace”, the edging around the brim, to mint with Silk.

The finished look is a fitted mint top with a pastel pink neck bow and pink ribbons at the neckline and sleeves, a short pastel pink skirt with white godets, a thin mint belt and a deep pink flower at the hip, a wide white sun hat with mint lace and a pink band, and long pale blonde curls.

From the back, the long blonde curls fall to the waist over the mint top, with the white godets showing at the skirt’s hem.

Look 2: Lilac coat set with pale yellow trim
Our idea: a tea-party hostess in lilac and butter yellow, all ruffles and small bows. The coat set and its bloomers come from one stand on the short-dress shelf, and the sun hat stays on from Look 1.
The black base top and shorts show again until the new pieces go on.

Only the coat set came on for us, without the bloomers on the same stand: the Wearing panel showed the hair, the hat and the coat set.

Set “2/6: Sleeve Bows” to pale yellow (column 8, row 3) with Silk and “3/6: Ruffles” to white with Silk.
Then set “4/6: Top”, the crop top under the coat, to pale yellow with Light Silk, “5/6: Top Ruffles” to white with Silk, and “6/6: Top Tiny Bows” to lilac with Silk.

Set “3/3: Lace” to pale yellow with Silk. Against the white brim it reads slightly lime under the runway lights.

The Wearing panel now shows four pictures: hair, hat, coat set and bloomers. Without the bloomers, the black base shorts show under the open coat.

Set “5/7: Garter Belt” to lilac with Silk, “6/7: Garter Belt Metals” to gold with Metallic, and “7/7: Tiny Bow” to pale yellow with Silk.

The finished look is a long open lilac coat with pale yellow bows and white ruffled cuffs at the sleeves, a pale yellow ruffled crop top with a small lilac bow, lilac bloomers with pale yellow bands and white ruffle hems, the white sun hat with a lilac band and yellow lace, and light brown curls.

From behind and higher up, the hat and the light brown curls cover most of the coat; only its lilac hem shows.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Garden Tea Party
A garden tea party is light, pretty and a little old-fashioned, so stay with pastels and add frills. Pick two or three soft colours per look (mint and pink, or lilac and pale yellow) and use white for the ruffles, lace and godets so the pastels stay fresh. The wide sun hat is the piece that says “garden” at once; recolour its ribbon and lace to match the outfit. Several parts are small accents (the skirt’s “4/4: Flower”, the hat’s “2/3: Ribbon”, the coat’s bows), so give them all the same accent colour. Silk and Light Silk keep the finish soft rather than shiny. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.
How to recolour a piece and set its material
- Click the piece on its shelf or mannequin, then “Put On” when the label shows. Once you wear it, click its picture in the Wearing panel to open its colour panel again.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/4: Skirt”, “2/4: Skirt Godets” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
- Open the “+” tab and click the material, such as Silk, Light Silk, Glitter or Metallic.
- Choose its colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, row 1 holds browns and tans, and row 8 runs from white to black).
- Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece after you close the panel.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. The Patterns tab sits next to Palette; we did not use it for these looks.

Poses for Garden Tea Party
We used Daisy for the mint-and-pink look and Petal for the lilac coat set, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to set every part’s colour and material and to find a camera angle that shows the outfit under the wide sun hat. Pieces such as the coat set and its bloomers have to be put on one at a time, which is easy to miss in a rush. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Garden Tea Party comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Enchanted Curse and Harvest Festival outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Garden Tea Party as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Garden Tea Party to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Garden Tea Party, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not use or see a teacup, teapot, gloves or a parasol as a free piece, and we did not use the Patterns tab, so neither look has a printed floral fabric. We wore no shoes; the brown fringed boots by the sun hat were not tried. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is Garden Tea Party in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as an afternoon tea in a garden: soft pastels such as mint, pink, lilac and butter yellow, ruffles and bows, and a wide sun hat.
Can I do Garden Tea Party without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, hairstyle, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Where is the sun hat in Dress To Impress?
On the mannequin beside the tops shelf in the Dressing Room, the one in a lace dress with brown fringed boots at its feet. Click the hat on its head and then “Put On”. It is free.
Where are the shirt, the skirt and the coat set?
On the short-dress shelf’s top row: the pale blue shirt and grey skirt share the stand on the left, and the sage green ruffled coat set is on the middle stand. The skirt and the coat set’s bloomers are put on separately from the pieces above them.
Why does my outfit not show under the sun hat?
The brim is very wide, so the high runway camera looks down onto the hat. Tilt the camera down to the character’s height and the outfit shows under it.
Which pose fits Garden Tea Party?
We used the free Solo poses Daisy, with both arms raised over the hat, and Petal, a soft standing pose.
