Possessed Dress To Impress: 2 Eerie Outfit Ideas (Haunted Doll and Cracked Porcelain)

Two complete Possessed looks built in Freeplay Mode, with the exact vanity faces, shelf spots, palette colours and materials.

Two complete Possessed looks built in Freeplay Mode, with the exact vanity faces, shelf spots, palette colours and materials.

Possessed (searched most as “possessed dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: an eerie, haunted look, with pale or dark clothes cut with blood red, long black hair and a spooky face from the vanity. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a haunted doll and a cracked-porcelain spirit, and took our own pictures of each step. Every piece, face, colour, material and pose used is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: Pair blood red with white or dark grey, long black hair and a spooky vanity face: a white corset mini with red lace and a drip-tear doll face, or a grey shirt and black-and-red skirt with a cracked face.

Possessed outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top). Both looks start at the makeup vanity, because the face does most of the work for this theme, and both use the same long straight hair in black.

Look 1: Haunted doll in white and blood red

Our idea: a porcelain doll that has started to cry red. The face comes from the vanity in Lana’s Salon, and the dress is the dark plum layered dress on the short-dress shelf, recoloured white, grey, red and black.

Start with only your hair on. Ours was long straight chestnut hair; take anything else off with the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel.

The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered; the dress covers them in this look.

Go to Lana’s Salon and sit at the makeup vanity. The seat runs on a timer (it showed 02:58 when we sat down), and “Space To Exit” gets you up again.

In the right-hand panel, “Feminine”, click the middle card on the first row. It is a white doll face with dark smoky eyes, red tear streaks running down from the eyes, a red streak at the brow, a red nose tip, a small black dot on the cheek and black heart-shaped lips. One click sets the whole face, and the card gets a tick.

Go to the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room. On its bottom row, the dark plum layered dress stands in the middle, between a pink heart mini dress and a white strapless mini. Click it once: the first click only outlines the dress and shows its “Put On” label.

The finished look is a white corset mini dress with dark lacing down the middle under a glossy see-through white overlay, a front slit edged in red, black lace along the bust line and the hem, and the deep red shawl showing as a band round the neck. The light grey Silk reads white under the runway lights. With the long black hair and the drip-tear doll face, it looks like a doll that has come to life.

Look 2: Cracked porcelain in grey, black and red

Our idea: the doll after the haunting, with its face cracked open and the colours gone dark. The face is another vanity card, and the shirt and skirt come from one stand on the same short-dress shelf.

In the Wearing panel, take the dress off with the heart X under its picture. Keep the hair, which is still black from Look 1.

The finished look is a dark grey short-sleeved shirt with thin black ribbon trims at the collar and sleeves and a red ribbon tied at the neck, a short black skirt with red-orange godet panels flaring at the hem and a dark red flower at the front of the waist, the long black hair and the cracked-porcelain face. The deep red Silk reads red-orange on the godets, and the dark grey reads a little warm under the runway lights.

Why these looks read as Possessed

Start with the face. A full vanity face does more for this theme than any piece of clothing, so pick one that looks wrong in a human way: tears of red, cracks, smudged dark eyes. Then keep the outfit to a tight set of colours. White or light grey reads as a doll or a ghost, dark grey and black read as shadow, and deep red, used on small parts such as lace, a shawl, a ribbon or skirt panels, reads as blood against them. Long, straight black hair falling loose finishes the eerie look. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round. For darker takes on similar ideas, see our Trad Goth outfit ideas, Paranormal Investigator outfit ideas and Day of the Dead outfit ideas.

How to recolour a piece and set its material

  1. Click the piece on its shelf. On the plum dress the first click only outlines it, so click it again to open the colour panel. For a piece you already wear, click its picture in the Wearing panel instead.
  2. Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/5: Dress”, “2/5: Sheer Overlay” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
  3. Set the material, such as Silk, Foil or Leather.
  4. Choose its colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, row 1 holds browns and tans, and row 8 runs from white to black). The Wheel tab next to it shows the colour’s HEX code.
  5. Repeat for every part, then press “Put On”. Colours set while the piece is previewing stay on it once you wear it.

To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. The Patterns tab sits next to Palette; we did not use it for these looks.

Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. Five colours cover both looks; four of them sit on row 8, the white-to-black row.

Poses for Possessed

We used Crystal for the haunted doll and Dazzle for the cracked porcelain look, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to try the vanity faces and set every part’s colour and material without a round running out. The plum dress alone has five parts, and the shirt and skirt have seven between them, which is a lot to set in a hurry. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which vanity card, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Possessed comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute and Night At The Orchard outfit ideas.

How a theme round works

We have not had Possessed as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Possessed to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Possessed, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. The same “Feminine” panel also has a third-eye face, a stitched green zombie face and a grey sunken face; we saw them but did not use them. We did not look for coloured contact lenses, glowing eyes or props, and we wore no shoes. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

What is Possessed in Dress To Impress?

The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as an eerie, haunted look: pale or dark clothes with blood red, long black hair and a spooky face, like a doll or a spirit that something has taken over.

Can I do Possessed without VIP?

Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, face, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.

How do I get a scary face in Dress To Impress?

Sit at the makeup vanity in Lana’s Salon and open the “Feminine” panel on the right. Several spooky full faces sit near the top of the list: the drip-tear doll face is the middle card on the first row, and the cracked-porcelain face is the left card on the second row. One click sets the whole face.

Where is the dress for the haunted doll look?

It is the dark plum layered dress on the bottom row of the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room, in the middle. It turns white once you set “1/5: Dress” to light grey Silk; the first click on it only outlines it, and the second opens its colour panel.

Where are the shirt and skirt for the cracked porcelain look?

Both are on one stand, top row left of the short-dress shelf: a pale blue shirt over a grey skirt. Click the shirt for “1/3: Shirt”, and click just under its hem for the skirt, “1/4: Skirt”. Each needs its own “Put On”.

Which pose fits Possessed?

We used two free Solo poses: Crystal, with both hands behind the head, for the haunted doll, and Dazzle, with the hands together at one hip, for the cracked porcelain look.
