In Phantom Blade Zero, 24 of the materials are for main weapons and 23 are for Phantom Edges. Each material works on one weapon only.
How Soul Tempering materials work
Myst handles how to Soul Temper. She runs the “Soul Temper” option from the Order’s underground tavern in Pangzhen.
- Open Myst’s upgrade screen and press P to switch to Soul Tempering. The screen turns purple.
- Each Soul Temper costs 5,000 Remnant Dust plus 1 of that weapon’s material.
- Look beneath the upgrade to find the material alongside the Owned and Cost columns. An Owned value of 0 indicates you don’t have the material.
- A material works only on the weapon named on its card. Cards read “Used to Soul Temper the <weapon>.”
- Three upgrades transform their weapons into different named weapons: Sanguine becomes Infernal Rouge, Sanguine Reach becomes Blazing Edge, and Sanguine Twin becomes Shadowless Edge. Every other upgrade gives the weapon you own a named effect.
- Main weapon materials are filed under “Weapon Soul Tempering Materials”. Phantom Edge materials are filed under “Phantom Edge Soul Tempering Materials”.
