Skinwalker asked me to hunt down seven wolves…
In-game journal
Hour of the Wolf is a side quest in the Woods quest line, handed out by Skinwalker. Skinwalker sends you after wolves, and the goal is to find and kill 7 of them in the Woods. The steps come in a fixed order: first hunt down the 7 wolves, then return to Skinwalker to report that the job is done, and finally collect the reward to close the quest.
The wolf is the only animal the quest asks you to hunt, so your trip is about tracking wolves through the Woods until you have taken down 7. Turning the quest in to Skinwalker earns you a Wolf Head Hat x1 along with the recipe for the Wolf Hide Rug, which you can craft once you have it.
