Permafrost has 31 main quests and 26 side quests, split across the Bunker, Horizon, House Camp, Main story, Solar Fields, Technocrats, Urban District, White Hell and Woods quest lines. The main quests open with A New Beginning, Feel The Heat and Horizon's Kitchen.
Skinwalker hands out hunting challenges, from Oh, Deer to "Wabbit" Season. Robyn gives Separated and Return to Hunter's Glade, and the General Trader in Horizon gives Tonight… We Hunt!. Active objectives sit at the top left of the screen, and a yellow diamond on the compass shows the distance to the next step. Main quests carry a yellow exclamation mark and side quests a white question mark. New quests arrive with a banner, and J opens the journal.
