Locate and kill a muskox.
In-game journal
The Muskox is a side quest in the Woods quest line, tied to Skinwalker. The journal sets a plain goal: locate and kill a muskox. The quest points you to the Woods, so that is where the hunt happens. The steps come in a fixed order. Hunt down a muskox, go back to Skinwalker to report the kill, and then collect the reward.
The muskox is the only animal the quest names, so bring whatever you normally hunt with when you head into the Woods. Once you have reported back to Skinwalker, the quest pays 50 Bucks. It also unlocks the recipe for the Muskox Hide Rug and the recipe for the Muskox Head Trophy, which open up new things to craft from the animal you were sent after.
