Into the Dark is a side quest in the Bunker quest line. It asks you to get to the bottom of what the Bunker is hiding and why things there went badly. It starts at the Bunker Checkpoint exploration zone. Once you enter, you climb up through the checkpoint and search it for information. From there you go up to the Main Bunker, where the work becomes a search for four recordings. Once recording #1, #2, #3 and #4 are in hand, you return to Anna and report what you have learned.

Two optional tasks come up on the way to the Main Bunker: getting warmer gear before you push further in, and searching the area around it for the next recording. While you gather the recordings you can run into moon cultists, and defeating them is another optional objective. The quest closes with Anna, so plan to end the trip back with her.
