Coronation (searched most as “coronation dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: a crowning ceremony, which points to a long regal robe, a crown, and ivory or red paired with gold. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a long cream robe with a gold crown and a short red-and-gold dress, and took our own pictures of each step. The crown is free: it is part of a hairstyle at Lana’s Salon. Every piece, colour, material and pose used is free, so both looks work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: Wear the long robe from the hooded robe mannequin in cream Silk with a gold Metallic sash, and the long curls hairstyle from Lana’s Salon, which comes with its own crown: make the crown gold and its gem red.
Coronation outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top), with the material we set. Both looks use the same long curls hairstyle with its crown, recoloured for each one. Neither uses a face from the vanity, and both are barefoot.
Look 1: Cream coronation robe with a gold crown
Our idea: the ceremony itself. A floor-length cream robe with a gold sash, long dark curls and a gold crown with a red gem. The robe comes from a mannequin in the Dressing Room and the crown from a hairstyle.
The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered.

Watch out: clicking a new hair card at the chair adds it on top of the hair you already wear, so for now you wear two hairstyles. You take the old one off in Step 5.

Now only the curls and the robe are left in Wearing.

The finished look is a long cream robe to the floor with long, wide sleeves and a bright yellow-gold sash at the waist, long dark brown curls and a gold crown with a red gem. It is barefoot, and the robe hides the feet in most views. The cream reads close to white on the runway, which keeps the gold sash and crown standing out.

From the back, the dark curls fall over the shoulders of the cream robe.

Look 2: Red-and-gold queen
Our idea: the party after the crowning. A short red dress with gold trim and a gold drape, long black curls and the same gold crown. This is a short dress that ends above the knee, not a floor-length gown, and we found no cape to add. The dress comes from the short-dress shelf.

Take the robe off with its heart X so only the hair is left. The black base top and shorts show again until the dress covers them.

The finished look is a short bright red dress with a gold band at the neck, a line of gold buttons down a sparkly red front, red sheer sides edged in gold and a gold drape from the shawl, with long black curls and the gold crown with its red gem, barefoot.

From the back, the long black curls cover most of the dress, with the gold shawl showing at the shoulders.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Coronation
A coronation look needs a crown first, and in our builds the free one is part of the curls hairstyle, so both looks start there. Gold Metallic on the crown, the sash, the shawl and the lace ties the outfit to it. Look 1 goes for the ceremony: long, light and plain, with gold only at the waist and on the head. Look 2 goes for colour: bright red with gold edging, short and sparkly. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.
Coronation is a separate theme from Modern Royalty. For that theme we built a royal blue strapless look with long white gloves and a red-and-gold ruffled coat set, see our Modern Royalty outfit ideas. The same hooded robe mannequin’s robe also appears in our Award Show outfit ideas, in deep red and without a crown.
How to recolour a piece and set its material
- Put the piece on, then open the Wearing panel and click the piece’s picture to open its colour panel.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/2: Preview”, “3/4: Crown”, “2/5: Sheer Overlay” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
- Set the material on the “+” tab: Metallic for gold, Glitter for sparkle, Silk for a soft sheen.
- Choose the colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and row 8 runs from white to black).
- Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece while you wear it.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel.
Coronation colours on the Default palette
Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. Six colours cover both looks.
| Colour | Column | Row | Material | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cream | 9 | 2 | Silk | Look 1 robe (1/2). It reads ivory-cream, close to white, on the runway |
| Gold (reads yellow-gold) | 8 | 6 | Metallic | Look 1 sash (2/2); the crown (3/4) in both looks; Look 2 shawl and both lace parts |
| Dark brown | 6 | 1 | Silk | Look 1 hair (1/4 and 2/4) |
| Red | 1 | 6 | Glitter, Silk | The crown’s gem (4/4, Glitter); Look 2 “2/5: Sheer Overlay” (Silk) |
| Column 1, row 7 | 1 | 7 | Glitter | Look 2 “1/5: Dress”. It reads bright red with sparkle on the runway |
| Black | 9 | 8 | Silk | Look 2 hair (1/4 and 2/4) |

Poses for Coronation
We used Jewel for the cream robe and Starry for the red-and-gold dress, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to set every part’s colour and material without a round running out. The dress alone has five parts and the hair four, which is a lot to set in a hurry. Once a look works, you know which mannequin, which shelf, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Coronation comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute, Possessed, Night At The Orchard, Bioluminescent Depths, Your Country and Reality Television outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Coronation as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Coronation to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Coronation, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We found no cape, mantle or sceptre piece; the shawl on the plum dress is the only drape we used. We did not try the robe mannequin’s hood, since it would cover the crown. Neither look has shoes or a vanity face. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is Coronation in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as a crowning ceremony: a long regal robe, a crown, and ivory or red with gold.
Can I do Coronation without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Is there a free crown in Dress To Impress?
Yes, in our build: the long curls hairstyle on the left of the second row of the Feminine tab, in Lana’s Salon’s “Hairstyles” panel, comes with a crown. Its “3/4: Crown” and “4/4: Gem” parts take their own colours, so you can make it gold with a red gem.
Should a Coronation outfit be long or short?
Either works with the crown. Look 1 is the long cream robe for a ceremonial look; Look 2 is a short red dress with gold for a party-style look.
Where is the long robe?
On the hooded robe mannequin just to the right of the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room. Click low on its skirt: the robe goes on with its panel at “1/2: Preview”.
Which pose fits Coronation?
We used two free Solo poses: Jewel, with one hand on the chest, for the cream robe, and Starry, with one arm raised, for the red-and-gold dress.
