Bioluminescent Depths (searched most as “bioluminescent depths dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: the deep sea at night, where creatures light themselves up. That points to dark or deep blue and violet bases with glowing accents, and in Dress To Impress the glow comes from the Neon material, which makes a colour shine on the runway. We built three looks in Freeplay Mode, a glowing anglerfish, a violet glow and a coral reef glow, and took our own pictures of each step. Every piece, colour, material and pose used is free, so all three work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: Pick a dark base and make the trims glow with the Neon material: the Halloween display’s crop top in black with cyan Neon trims, its pleated skirt in blue Glitter with pink Neon chains, and long cyan Neon hair.
Bioluminescent Depths outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top), with the material we set. All three looks use the same long straight hairstyle, recoloured for each one, and none of them uses a face from the vanity.
The hair for all three looks

The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered.

Look 1: Glowing anglerfish
Our idea: a deep-sea creature that is dark all over except for the parts that light up. A black top and a deep blue skirt carry glowing cyan and pink trims, and the hair glows cyan. The top and skirt come from the Halloween display in the Dressing Room hall.

The finished look is a black crop top with a glowing cyan neck strap and hem band and small violet stitches, a deep blue sparkly pleated mini skirt with a glowing cyan waistband and glowing pink chains, and long bright cyan hair with deeper blue lengths and a cyan headband. It is barefoot. On the runway the Neon parts shine against the dark top, which is the whole idea of the look.

From the back, the long cyan hair falls past the shoulders over the black top, with the blue skirt below.

Look 2: Violet glow
Our idea: a glowing violet creature drifting in the dark. A sparkly deep purple mini dress with glowing hot pink legs and magenta hair. The dress comes from the short-dress shelf and the socks from the shelf on the left wall beside it.

The finished look is a short sparkly deep purple strapless dress, glowing hot pink thigh-highs and long magenta-and-violet hair with a pink headband, barefoot. The purple dress is close in colour to the purple runway carpet, so the glowing pink legs are what carry this look; a lighter or brighter dress colour would stand out more.

From the back, the bright magenta hair covers the shoulders above the purple dress, and the pink legs stay bright against the carpet.

Look 3: Coral reef glow
Our idea: a glowing coral reef in deep blue water. A deep blue ruffled coat set with coral and hot pink Neon ruffles, blue bloomers and coral-and-blue hair. The coat set comes from the short-dress shelf and brings its bloomers with it.

The finished look is a deep blue ruffled coat with glowing coral and hot pink ruffle cuffs, a black top, blue bloomers with glowing coral ruffles and long hair in coral-red and deep blue stripes with a cyan headband, barefoot. A small khaki panel at the waist kept its original colour: it belongs to one of the bloomers’ parts we did not change, so set parts 4 to 7 as well if you want the look fully blue and coral. We took the front pictures at the curtain end beside the runway, with the white panelled wall behind.

From the back, the striped hair reaches the middle of the back over the blue coat, with the glowing coral and pink cuffs at the sleeves.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Bioluminescent Depths
The trick for this theme is contrast: keep the base dark or deep (black, royal blue, deep violet) and put the Neon material only on trims, chains, ruffles, legs and hair, so those parts look as if they light themselves up. Glitter on the darker parts adds a wet, sparkly sheen without stealing the glow. Cyan, pink, violet and coral are the colours we used for the glowing parts. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how any of these looks scores in a real round. For softer sea looks with other pieces, see our Jellyfish outfit ideas (a pastel robe and a layered dress) and our Cursed Lagoon outfit ideas; for more Neon on dark pieces, see our Cyberpunk outfit ideas.
How to recolour a piece and set its material
- Put the piece on, then open the Wearing panel and click the piece’s picture to open its colour panel.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/3: Preview”, “2/6: Sleeve Bows” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
- Set the material on the “+” tab: Neon for the glowing parts, Glitter for sparkle, Leather or Silk for the rest.
- Choose the colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and row 8 runs from white to black). The Wheel tab next to it shows the colour’s HEX code.
- Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece while you wear it.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel.

Poses for Bioluminescent Depths
We used Twilight for the glowing anglerfish, Glow for the violet glow and Magica for the coral reef, all free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to set every part’s colour and material without a round running out. The coat set alone has six parts and its bloomers seven, and each look here also recolours the hair, which is a lot to set in a hurry. Once a look works, you know which display, which shelf, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Bioluminescent Depths comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute, Possessed and Night At The Orchard outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Bioluminescent Depths as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Bioluminescent Depths to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Bioluminescent Depths, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We found no light-up accessory, lure, glow stick or sea-creature hat to add; all of the glow here comes from the Neon material. We did not use a vanity face, and none of the looks has shoes. A pink heart mini on the short-dress shelf would not open from where we stood, and a dark grey jacket on the top shelf says “Play 5 rounds to equip”, so both are left out. All three looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is Bioluminescent Depths in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as the deep sea at night, where creatures light themselves up: dark or deep blue and violet outfits with glowing accents.
Can I do Bioluminescent Depths without VIP?
Yes. All three looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Which material glows in Dress To Impress?
Neon. Set it on the “+” tab of a part’s colour panel, then pick the colour on Palette: in our builds the Neon parts shine on the runway, while Glitter only sparkles.
Where is the crop top with the chained skirt?
On the Halloween display, the round podium with pumpkins in the Dressing Room hall: the mannequin with cat whiskers at the front left. Click its crop top, then “Put On”; the pleated skirt with chains comes with it.
Which hair works for Bioluminescent Depths?
We used the long straight hair with a headband from the left card on the bottom row of the Feminine tab in Lana’s Salon’s “Hairstyles” panel. Its three parts take separate colours, so Neon on “1/3: Preview” and the headband makes the hair glow.
Which pose fits Bioluminescent Depths?
We used three free Solo poses: Twilight for the glowing anglerfish, Glow for the violet glow and Magica for the coral reef.
