Two complete Freeplay Mode looks with exact shelf spots, palette positions, textures, and poses: a hot pink glam star and a dating-show beach outfit.

Two complete Freeplay Mode looks with exact shelf spots, palette positions, textures, and poses: a hot pink glam star and a dating-show beach outfit.

Reality Television (searched most as “reality television dti” and “reality tv dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: the cast of a reality show, which points to a glam star in pink and sparkle, or a dating-show contestant in bright beachwear. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a hot pink glam star and a dating-show beach look, and took our own pictures of each step. Every piece, colour, material and pose used is free, so both looks work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: Wear the heart cut-out mini from the short-dress shelf in hot pink Glitter, with long platinum blonde hair and a hot pink headband. For a beach look, wear a coral ruffled top, turquoise drawstring shorts and a straw sun hat.

Reality Television outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the exact spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top), with the material we set. Both looks use the same long hairstyle with a headband, recoloured for each one. Neither uses a face from the vanity, and both are barefoot.

Look 1: Hot pink glam star

Our idea: the star of the show, dressed for the camera. A short hot pink dress that sparkles, with a heart cut-out, long platinum blonde hair and a hot pink headband.

Open the Wearing panel and take off what you have on with the heart X under each picture, so only your hair is left. For us that was a long robe.

The black top and black shorts that show now are the base body, not a piece. They cannot be taken off, only covered.

Only the hair left in the Wearing panel.
If you are not wearing it yet, get the hair at a Lana’s Salon hair chair: in “Hairstyles”, open the Feminine tab and click the left card on the bottom row, long hair with a headband. Clicking a new hair card adds it next to the hair you already wear, so take the old one off in Wearing afterwards. We already had it on from an earlier look, black with a red headband.
Go to the Dressing Room and find the short-dress shelf. The pink dress with a heart cut-out is on the left of its bottom row. Clicking the dress itself did nothing for us. Stand right in front of it instead: a floating “Put On” label appears on the dress. Click that label.

The heart mini on the shelf, with its "Put On" label.
The dress goes on and its colour panel opens at “1/1: Preview”, so it has a single colour part. When we closed the panel, the dress stayed on. On the shelf and on us it is still a pale pink satin.

Walk to the Freeplay Runway and open the Wearing panel. It shows two pictures: the hair and the dress.

Click the dress’s picture. Set the material on the “+” tab first, then pick the colour on Palette: set “1/1: Preview” to hot pink (column 2, row 5) with Glitter. The dress now reads bright hot pink with sparkle.

Click the hair’s picture and set “1/3: Preview” to pale yellow (column 8, row 2) with Silk. At this point the hair reads streaky, black and pale.

Set “2/3: Preview” to light beige (column 9, row 3) with Silk. Now the hair reads platinum blonde.

Set “3/3: Headband” to the same hot pink (column 2, row 5) with Glitter.

The finished look is a short, sparkly hot pink dress with a heart-shaped cut-out at the chest and a pointed hem, long platinum blonde hair that flips into curls at the ends, and a thin hot pink headband. It is barefoot.

Look 2: Dating-show beach look

Our idea: a contestant on a dating show set at the beach. A coral ruffled top, bright turquoise shorts, a wide straw sun hat and long golden blonde hair. The pieces come from a mannequin, the tops shelf and the left-wall shelf.

Open the Wearing panel and take the heart dress off with its heart X, so only the hair is left. The black base top and shorts show again until the new pieces cover them.

Set “3/3: Headband” to coral (column 1, row 4) with Silk. Under the hat, the headband hardly shows. We left the hat in its own straw colour.

The finished look is a coral ruffled tube top tied with a bow at the centre, with a bare midriff, bright turquoise shorts with a white drawstring, long golden blonde hair and the wide straw sun hat. It is barefoot.

Why these looks read as Reality Television

Reality shows are about being seen, so both looks go bright and easy to read from across the runway. Look 1 is the glam star: one strong colour, hot pink, with Glitter on the dress and the headband, and platinum hair for contrast. Look 2 is the dating-show beach contestant: coral and turquoise for a summer feel, with the big straw sun hat as the prop that tells the story. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.

For more pink glam, our Cotton Candy Couture outfit ideas uses the same heart cut-out mini in baby blue. The straw sun hat is also the key piece in our Deserted Island outfit ideas, and our Malibu Dream outfit ideas uses it with the same left-wall drawstring shorts, in other colours.

How to recolour a piece and set its material

  1. Put the piece on, then open the Wearing panel and click the piece’s picture to open its colour panel.
  2. Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/1: Preview”, “2/3: Preview”, “3/3: Headband” and so on). Each part takes its own colour and material.
  3. Set the material on the “+” tab: Glitter for sparkle, Silk for a soft sheen.
  4. Choose the colour on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and row 8 runs from white to black).
  5. Repeat for every part. The colours stay on the piece while you wear it.

To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel.

Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. Seven colours cover both looks.

Reality Television pieces to look for

None of these pieces has a name in the game, so look for them by place and shape. All of them are free and worked on our account with no VIP and 0 stars.

Poses for Reality Television

We used Chic for the glam star and Glow for the beach look, both free under Solo in the Poses menu. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and set every part’s colour and material without a round running out. The heart mini only opened for us from its floating “Put On” label, which is easy to miss in a hurry. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which mannequin, which palette spots and which materials to go to when Reality Television comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute, Possessed, Night At The Orchard, Bioluminescent Depths, Coronation and Your Country outfit ideas.

How a theme round works

We have not had Reality Television as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Reality Television to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Reality Television, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We used no microphone, sunglasses, handbag or shoes, and neither look has a vanity face. We did not recolour the sun hat or the shorts’ third part. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

What is Reality Television in Dress To Impress?

The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as the cast of a reality show: a glam star in pink and sparkle, or a dating-show contestant in bright beachwear.

Can I do Reality Television without VIP?

Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, colour, material and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.

Is the pink heart dress free?

Yes. It is on the left of the bottom row of the short-dress shelf in the Dressing Room, and we wore it in Freeplay Mode with no price or lock. If a click on the dress does nothing, stand right in front of it and click its floating “Put On” label.

Which hair did you use?

The long hair with a headband from a Lana’s Salon hair chair: “Hairstyles”, Feminine tab, bottom row, left card. It has three parts, so the hair and the headband take their own colours: platinum blonde with hot pink for Look 1, golden honey blonde with coral for Look 2.

Where is the sun hat?

On the mannequin in a floral blouse and fringed brown boots beside the tops shelf in the Dressing Room. Click the hat, then the “Put On” label beside it.

Which pose fits Reality Television?

We used two free Solo poses: Chic, with a hand on the hip, for the glam star, and Glow for the beach look.
