Decora (searched most as “decora dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: Harajuku decora style, which means loud candy colors, lots of layers and a cute, playful feel. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, rainbow braids with a hot pink corset top and a gradient puffer variation, and took our own pictures of each step. Every piece, color and pose used is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: Recolor the corset from the pink puff-dress shelf hot pink with yellow frills, add the braided loop updo in hot pink and cyan, and pink lace-up platform knee boots. Then swap in a cyan-to-yellow cropped puffer and yellow braids.
Decora outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top). Joining Freeplay Mode puts you in the bald base body with a black top and black shorts; those cannot be taken off, only covered. We added no skirt to either look, so the black base shorts show in both.
Look 1: Rainbow braids
Our idea: as many bright colors as one outfit can carry. A hot pink corset with yellow, cyan and lilac details, braids in hot pink and cyan, and pink platform boots with yellow bows.

On you the top reads as a hot pink corset tube top with yellow frill trim at the top and the hem, thin cyan piping and lilac lacing down the front. The black base shorts show below it.

Then set “2/4: Preview” to mint (column 6, row 4) and “3/4: Preview” to yellow (column 8, row 4).

The finished look on the Freeplay Runway: hot pink braids with cyan streaks, with braided loops standing up on top like a big bow and pink bangs; the hot pink corset top with yellow frills; the black base shorts; and hot pink knee boots with yellow bows down the front, a yellow heel and a mint platform.

From the back, the braided loops fan out over the head, and the long braids hang down over the shoulders.

A wide stance shows off the platform boots from the side.

Look 2: Gradient puffer
Our idea: keep the corset top, and layer a loud gradient jacket over it with new shoes and new hair colors. It is a fast second look built from the first one.

The finished look: a cropped quilted puffer that fades from cyan at the collar and shoulders to bright yellow at the hem and cuffs, with a thin pink line down the front. The corset top shows below it as a hot pink band with a yellow frill, over the black base shorts. The braids are yellow with purple streaks, and the pink and white sneakers finish it.

From the back, the cyan-to-yellow gradient reads clearly across the shoulders, with the yellow braids hanging over it.

Up close, the pink band of the corset and the yellow frill show under the cropped hem of the puffer.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Decora
Decora is about more: more colors, more layers, more small details. Both looks put several bright colors on every piece instead of matching one color across the outfit. Look 1 stacks five colors on the corset alone and adds two-tone braids and multi-color boots. Look 2 layers a gradient jacket over the corset so the hot pink still peeks out at the waist. Pastels on their own read too soft here (the pastel puffer looked almost white), so we kept to the bright rows of the palette. This is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.
For a softer pastel take on pink and lilac, see our Lazy But Cute outfit ideas. If your Decora look starts going dark and grey, it has drifted the other way, toward our Dystopia outfit ideas.
How to recolor a piece
- Click the piece in the Dressing Room so it shows on you as a preview and its color panel opens.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/5: Preview”, “2/5: Preview” and so on). Each part takes its own color.
- Choose the color on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and the last row runs from white to black).
- Repeat for every part, then press “Put On”. To change a piece you already wear, including your hair, click its picture in the Wearing panel and set the part again.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. A color can read quite differently on a piece than its heart suggests, so look at the piece on you before moving on.
Decora colors on the Default palette
Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. These are the spots we used for the hair, boots and puffer; the corset’s five colors were set by eye, and the sneakers keep their own colors.

| Hot pink | 2 | 5 | Hair “1/2: Preview” (Look 1), boots “4/4: Preview” |

| Pink | 2 | 4 | Puffer “3/3: Preview” |

Poses for Decora
Any free pose from the Poses menu works; a raised arm or a wide stance shows more of the layers and the boots. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and test colors without a round running out. That matters for Decora: with five parts on the corset, four on the boots and two on the hair, there are a lot of colors to set, and some hearts (the pastels on the puffer) read nothing like their swatch. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette spots and which parts to go to when Decora comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute, Possessed, Night At The Orchard, Bioluminescent Depths, Coronation, Your Country, Reality Television, Subway Rush, Candlelit Library, Dystopia, Vaporwave, Gymnastics and NPC Core outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Decora as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Decora to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Decora, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not find hair clips, stickers, bags or socks to add, which are a big part of real-life decora; both looks are hair, top and shoes only, with the black base shorts showing. The fluffy white hat on the mannequin beside the shoe shelf did not open when we clicked it. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is Decora in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as Harajuku decora style: lots of bright candy colors at once, layers, and a cute, playful look.
Can I do Decora without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, color and pose used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Where is the hair salon in Freeplay?
In Lana’s Salon, at the arch with the framed hair pictures and the dryer chairs. Press E at a chair to open the “Hairstyles” panel; the braided loop updo is in the “Updo” tab, 2nd row, right card.
Can I recolor hair after leaving the salon?
Yes. Open the Wearing panel, click the hair’s picture and set each part on the Palette tab. We changed the Look 1 braids to yellow and purple this way on the runway, without changing the hairstyle.
Why did my puffer turn white?
The pastel hearts in rows 2 and 3 of the Default palette read almost white on the puffer. Use the brighter rows (row 4 and 5) for a strong Decora gradient.
Which pose fits Decora?
Any free pose works. We used a hand-to-face pose with one arm raised and a wide stance, which both show more of the colors and the platform boots.
