Punk (searched most as “punk dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so the reading here is ours: black with hard red accents, buckles, studs and chains, and one loud touch such as red hair. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a black buckle top with a red fluffy band over wide black trousers, and a black studded-collar jacket with a red pleated chain skirt and bright red hair, and took our own pictures of each step. Every piece and color used is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: Put the black studded-collar jacket from the Halloween display over a red pleated chain skirt, recolor your hair bright red, and add black nails and knee-high boots. For a darker look, wear the black buckle top with wide black trousers.
Punk outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top). A fresh Freeplay character starts in the base body: a blank head with no hair, a black top, black shorts and bare feet. In Look 2 the black base top stays uncovered under the open jacket and reads as a black crop top; it is part of the base body, not a piece you put on.
Look 1: Black buckle top with a red fluffy band
Our idea: all-black punk, with buckles at the waist and one strip of red. Look 1 is built on the black wide-leg trousers, the long straight black hair and the black knee-high stiletto boots from our Webbed In Style outfit ideas, so if you have made those looks you only change the top.

The finished look from the front: a black strapless top with a double belt and two silver buckles at the waist, a red fluffy band at the hip, black wide-leg trousers and long black hair. The trousers cover the boots down to their pointed toes.

From the side, the hair falls past the waist and the red band wraps all the way round.

Look 2: Studded jacket, red pleated skirt and red hair
Our idea: the classic punk mix of a black jacket with studs, a short red skirt with chains, black boots and bright red hair. We started from Look 1 and kept its hair and boots.

The finished look from the front: bright red hair, the black cropped jacket with its studded collar and studded cuffs open over the black base top, the red pleated skirt with its pale waistband and white chains, bare legs and the black knee-high boots from Look 1.

From behind, the long red hair hangs over the black jacket, with the red skirt and black boots below.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Punk
Punk is black first, with hard details and a clash of red: studs, buckles, chains, short pleated skirts, heavy boots and dyed hair. Look 1 keeps the outfit dark and lets the buckles and the red band carry it. Look 2 is louder, with studs on the collar and cuffs, chains on a red skirt, black nails and red hair against all that black. That is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.
Look 1 shares its trousers, hair and boots with our Webbed In Style outfit ideas, and Look 2’s jacket comes from the same display as the studded rebel in our Dystopia outfit ideas. How to recolor a piece part by part
- Click the piece on the shelf or mannequin so it shows on you as a preview and its color panel opens.
- Pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/4: Preview”, “2/4: Preview” and so on). Each part takes its own color.
- Choose the color on the Palette tab (the Default palette: columns are hues, rows run light to dark, and the bottom row runs from white to black).
- Set every part, then press “Put On”. Colors set while previewing stay on the piece you wear.
- To change a piece you already wear, including your hair, click its picture in the Wearing panel and set the part again.
To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel. Check that panel after browsing a display: pieces you only previewed can stay on.
Punk colors on the Default palette
Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. These are the spots we used for both looks.
| Color | Column | Row | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black | 9 (far right) | 8 (bottom row) | Buckle top parts 1 and 3; jacket part 1; trousers, boots part 1 and Look 1 hair |
| Near-black | 8 | 8 (bottom row) | Nails (Look 2) |
| Grey | 5 | 8 (bottom row) | Buckle top part 4 |
| Dark red | 1 | 7 | Buckle top part 2 (the fluffy band); boots part 2 (the soles). It reads as bright red in the hall’s light. |
| Red | 1 | 6 | Skirt (Look 2) |
| Bright red | 1 | 5 | Hair (Look 2) |

Poses for Punk
Any free pose from the Poses menu works; a hand on the hip shows off a buckled waist or an open jacket. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and set every part without a round running out. That matters here: the jacket and skirt sit on a crowded display where previewed pieces can stay on you, and the buckle top has four parts to set. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which palette spots and which parts to go to when Punk comes up in a real round. How a theme round works
We have not had Punk as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Punk to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Punk, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not use safety pins, fishnets, a band tee, a mohawk or spiked hair, or any ripped piece in the final looks, and did not search every shelf for them. Look 2’s red hair is a recolor of the same long straight hairstyle, not a new style. We added no makeup or accessories. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is the Punk theme in Dress To Impress?
The game gives only the theme’s name. We read it as punk fashion: black clothes with studs, buckles and chains, a short red skirt or red accents, heavy boots and bright hair.
Can I do Punk without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece and color used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Where is the studded jacket?
On the Halloween display in the Dressing Room, on the mannequin right of center. It is grey on the mannequin; set part 1 to black while it is a preview, then press “Put On”.
Where is the red pleated skirt with chains?
On the same Halloween display, on the mannequin front-left of center. It is dark on the mannequin; we put it on and then recolored it red (column 1, row 6) from the Wearing panel.
How do I get red hair?
Click your hair’s picture in the Wearing panel and pick a red on the palette. We used column 1, row 5 for a bright red. The style stays the same.
Why am I still wearing something I only previewed?
Clicking pieces on a display to look at them can leave them on you. Open the Wearing panel and click the heart X under anything you do not want.
