Grocery Run (searched most as “grocery run dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox: dress like you are popping out to the shops, in comfy, real-life clothes rather than a gown. We built three looks in Freeplay Mode, a comfy look with a pink fur-trimmed jacket and track pants, a cute errand look with a cardigan and blue jeans, and a just-woke-up look with a hoodie and lounge pants, and took our own pictures of each step. Every piece and color used is free, so all three work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: For Grocery Run, wear a white tee under a pink fur-trimmed jacket with black side-stripe track pants and a curly bun, or a cream cardigan over blue flared jeans with long brown waves.
Grocery Run outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top). A fresh Freeplay character starts in the base body: a blank head with no hair, a black top, black shorts and bare feet. Set a piece’s colors while it is still a preview, then press “Put On”.
We did not find a shopping bag, basket, phone or any other item to hold, and no shoes or slippers, so all three looks are barefoot and rely on the clothes alone.
Look 1: Comfy errand with a fur-trimmed jacket and track pants
Our idea: the outfit you throw on for a quick shop, with a plain tee, a cozy cropped jacket, track pants and the hair up in a curly bun.

The finished look from the front: the auburn curly updo, the pink fur-trimmed jacket and the black track pants with their white stripes, barefoot.

From behind, the bun sits high on the head and the white stripes run down the backs of the pants.

Look 2: Cute errand with a cream cardigan and blue jeans
Our idea: a soft, put-together errand look, with a chunky cardigan, flared jeans and long loose hair. It uses different pieces from Look 1.

On the runway: long brown waves, the cream cardigan open over the black base top and the blue flared jeans, barefoot.

From behind, the waves fall over the cardigan’s back.

Look 3: Just woke up, with a lounge hoodie and lilac pants
Our idea: you rolled out of bed and went straight to the shop, in an oversized hoodie, soft lounge pants and the hair piled up. A disconnect reset our outfit before this look, so it starts from the plain base body.

The finished look from the front: the sandy blonde bun, the white lettering hoodie open over the black top and the lilac lounge pants, barefoot.

From behind, the hoodie shows “DRESS TO IMPRESS” lettering and a large cross graphic across the back, under the big bun.

Add to Google Preferences →Cap or bun: what we found
The light-blue baseball cap on the spawn-hall hats wall is the obvious grocery-run hat, but with Look 1’s high curly updo it sank into the hair. Pick one: wear the cap with hair that sits flat, or keep the bun and skip the cap. We did not test the cap with the long waves of Look 2 or the bun of Look 3.
Why these looks read as Grocery Run
A grocery run is an everyday errand, so the look should be comfy and believable: track pants or jeans, a tee, a cardigan or hoodie, and hair pulled up or left loose. Soft, light colors (white, cream, pink, lilac, denim blue) keep it casual. That is plain styling advice; we have not seen how any of these looks scores in a real round.
Look 1’s track pants come from our Sport outfit ideas. For more comfy everyday themes, see our Lazy But Cute outfit ideas, NPC Core outfit ideas and Subway Rush outfit ideas; for mix-and-match street looks, see our Thrifted outfit ideas and Summer Camp outfit ideas.
How to recolor a piece
- Click the piece so it shows on you as a preview, and pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/2: Preview” and so on).
- Click a heart on the Palette for that part. Step to the next part with the right arrow and set it too; hair often has two parts.
- Press “Put On”. Colors set while previewing stay on the piece you wear.
- To change a piece you already wear, click its picture in the Wearing panel and set the part again. To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture.

The same walls hold more errand pieces we did not try on: a denim mini skirt, denim shorts and capri jeans on the trousers wall; a light-blue oversized zip jacket with “DRESS TO IMPRESS” lettering, a black graphic tee, a white tee and a white mesh long-sleeve on the jackets wall; and earmuffs and beanies on the hats wall.
Poses for Grocery Run
Any free pose from the Poses menu works; a relaxed hand on the hip or on the head suits a casual look. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and set the colors without a round running out. That matters here: the jeans and lounge pants are in the spawn hall while the tops and jackets are in the Dressing Room, two of the jeans cannot be put on, and the cap only shows its problem once the bun is on. Once a look works, you know which wall, which colors and which parts to go to when Grocery Run comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute, Possessed, Night At The Orchard, Bioluminescent Depths, Coronation, Your Country, Reality Television, Subway Rush, Candlelit Library, Dystopia, Decora, Vaporwave, Gymnastics, NPC Core, Webbed In Style, Punk, Seifuku, Sport and Dolls outfit ideas.
How a theme round works
We have not had Grocery Run as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Grocery Run to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Grocery Run, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We found no shopping bag, basket, phone or other hand-held item, and no shoes or slippers, and did not search every shelf for them. We did not try the “Adjusted for shoes” button, the other pieces listed above, or any makeup or nail colors. Look 3 was rebuilt after a disconnect reset the outfit. All three looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What should I wear for Grocery Run in Dress To Impress?
Dress for a real errand: a white tee, a pink fur-trimmed jacket and black side-stripe track pants with a curly bun; a cream cardigan over blue flared jeans with long waves; or an oversized white hoodie with lilac lounge pants and a messy bun.
Can I do Grocery Run without VIP?
Yes. All three looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece and color used here worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
Can you wear a cap with a bun in Dress To Impress?
Not with the high curly updo we used: the light-blue cap sank into the hair, so we took it off. Choose the cap or the bun.
How do I turn shorts into track pants?
Click the black side-stripe shorts (or their picture in the Wearing panel), click the scissors button beside the color panel and pick “Pants”. The same piece becomes full-length track pants with the white stripes.
Is there a shopping bag or basket for Grocery Run?
We did not find one. No bag, basket, phone or other hand-held item turned up on the walls we used, so these looks rely on the clothes alone.
Why do some jeans say “Can’t be put on.”?
Two of the jeans on the top shelf of the spawn-hall trousers wall showed that message when we clicked them, and we did not find out why. The light-wash flared jeans at the far right of the same shelf went on without trouble.
