Light Colors (searched most as “light colors dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so we read it the way it sounds: every visible piece in a pale shade, with nothing dark breaking it up. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a pale pink ball dress under white fur and a white fitted mini dress, and took our own pictures of every step. Every piece and color here worked without Robux, so both looks work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: For Light Colors, stay in white, cream and pale pink: a pale pink corset ball dress with a white fur jacket and white fur boots, or a white fitted mini dress, both with cream braids and white boots.
Light Colors outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and its color on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top; the bottom row runs from white to black). Set a piece’s colors while it is still a preview, stepping through its parts with the arrows beside the part label (“1/2: Preview” and so on), then press “Put On”. A piece you already wear can be recolored from the Wearing panel: click its picture there and pick the colors again. The black top and shorts in some pictures are the base body, before the clothes go on.
Face, hair and boots for both looks
Set these up first. Both looks keep the same face, hair and boots. The hair and the boots do not start in light colors, and recoloring them is what keeps the outfit pale from head to toe.

The cream braids and the white boots from behind, still over the base body, before the outfit goes on.

Look 1: pale pink ball dress with white fur
Our idea: a soft pink gown with white fur over it, so the only colors are pale pink and white. The base piece is the pale pink ball dress on the party-dress mannequins, the one with a corset bodice and a long skirt.

Check the back here. With the jacket on, our shoulders showed brown from behind: that was a separate pair of puff sleeves in peach, which broke the light look.

The finished look on the Freeplay Runway: the pale pink corset ball dress with a white ruffled underskirt at the hem, the fluffy white fur jacket over the arms and shoulders, the cream braids with bangs and the white bow, and the soft glam face. The white boots show at the bottom of the skirt.

From a slight angle, the long pink skirt and the white fur sleeves read as one soft, pale shape.

From behind, the white puffy jacket covers the shoulders, the braids fall down the back and the pink skirt runs to the floor, with no brown left.

Look 2: white fitted mini dress
Our idea: something shorter and simpler, white from top to bottom. The base piece is the white fitted mini dress from the same party-dress mannequins, a different piece from the Look 1 dress. The face, the cream braids and the white boots stay from the shared setup; we reused them.

The finished look on the runway: the white fitted mini dress with thin straps and a slit at the side of the skirt, the white boots with a fringed fluffy cuff, and the cream braids falling over the shoulders.

From behind, the dress shows thin straps over a bare back, and the braids hang down past the shoulders.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Light Colors
A light look works when the runway shows nothing dark at a glance. Both outfits stay in white, cream and pale pink, and the two pieces that start in strong colors (the red hair and the brown boots) are recolored, because one dark piece pulls the eye straight to it. Check the back as well as the front: in Look 1 a peach layer under the jacket showed brown from behind until we recolored it. That is plain styling advice, not a score: we have not seen how either look does in a real round.
The same white fur jacket is the base of our Cloud 9 outfit ideas, and the corset ball dress shows up in other colors in our Spoiled Rotten outfit ideas and Runaway Bride outfit ideas. For one color from head to toe, see our Monochrome Mood outfit ideas, and for the opposite of a soft palette, two loud colors cut in half, see our Color Split outfit ideas.
How to keep a Dress To Impress outfit in light colors
- Start with pieces that are already pale on the shelf (the pink ball dress, the fur jacket and the mini dress here all kept their default colors).
- Recolor anything dark while it previews, stepping through every part with the arrow: one part left on its default color can leave a dark patch.
- For pieces you already wear, open the Wearing panel, click the picture and pick the light color again.
- Trust the character, not the Wearing panel picture: the boots’ icon stayed brown after we made them white.
- Turn the camera and look at the back before you finish.
Light Colors colors on the Default palette
These are the spots we used for both looks.
| Color | Where on the Default palette | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Cream | row 2, last column | Hair parts 1 and 2 |
| White | row 8 (the bottom row), first column | Hair part 3 (the bow), every part of the boots, the puff sleeves in Look 1 |
| Pale pink | not set by us: the ball dress’s own default | Look 1 dress |

Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and check every part’s color without a round running out. That matters for a light theme: the hair has three parts, and the boots and sleeves each needed a recolor before nothing dark was left. The party-dress mannequins, the fur stand and the shoe shelf are all in the Dressing Room, and the vanity and hair chairs are in Lana’s Salon. Once a look works, you know where to go when Light Colors comes up in a real round. How a theme round works
We have not had Light Colors as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Light Colors to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Light Colors, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. The pose is not shown: we did not get a pose picture for either look, so pick any free one from every free pose in Dress To Impress. We did not find a light blue or other pastel top that would go on (a white tee on the tops wall said “Can’t be put on”), and we did not note which shelf the puff sleeves came from. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What is Light Colors in Dress To Impress?
It is a round theme. The game shows only the name, so most players read it as an outfit in pale shades only, such as white, cream and pastel pink, with nothing dark.
What should I wear for Light Colors in DTI?
A pale pink corset ball dress with a white fur jacket and white fur boots, or a white fitted mini dress, both with cream braids and white boots. Recolor any piece that starts dark.
Can I do Light Colors without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece and color used here worked on it.
How do I turn red hair cream or blonde in Dress To Impress?
Open the Wearing panel, click the hair’s picture and use the Palette tab. On our braids, the cream heart (row 2, last column) on parts 1 and 2 and white on part 3, the bow, replaced the red.
Where is the white fur jacket in Dress To Impress?
At the fur stand next to the shoe shelf in the Dressing Room. A white fur jacket and a white fur hat sit on its mannequin, and fluffy white fur boots are on the small round table beside it.
Why does my Wearing panel still show brown boots?
The picture in the Wearing panel kept the boots’ original brown for us even after they were recolored white. Look at your character to check the real color.
