Wild West (searched most as “wild west dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so we read it as the old frontier: cowgirls, saloons, boots, hats, suede and prairie florals. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a red ruffle saloon look and a classic cowgirl look with a wide-brim hat, and took our own pictures of every step. Every piece and color here worked without Robux, so both looks work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: For a Wild West cowgirl look, wear a white floral prairie dress with a tan suede-look vest, a wide-brim hat and brown fringed boots. For a saloon look: a red tiered ruffle skirt, brown bandeau and silver concho belt.

Wild West outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and its color on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top, light to dark; the top row holds the earthy browns and tans). Set a piece’s colors while it is still a preview, stepping through its parts with the arrows beside the part label (“1/5: Skirt” and so on), then press “Put On”. The number after the slash is how many color parts the piece has. The black top and shorts in the face and hair pictures are the base body; both finished looks cover them.

Face and hair for both looks

Set these up first: both looks share the same face and the same braids, which fit a frontier look.

Go to the vanity table in Lana’s Salon and open the Feminine tab at the top right of the face panel (next to Toy Codes and Masculine). Click the middle card in the third row, a soft glam smiling face.

Walk to a hair chair under the left arch of Lana’s Salon and press E at the prompt. In the Hairstyles panel, click the Braids tab and pick the right card in the second row: double braids with bangs and a white bow.

The braids came in red for us. Recolor them from the Wearing panel: click the hair’s picture, open the Palette tab, and set parts 1 and 2 to a brown from the top row and part 3 to cream. On the runway the braids show brown, and the bow shows white.

Look 1: red ruffle saloon look

Our idea: a saloon dancer, with a long red ruffled skirt, a brown top and a big silver belt. The base is the tiered gown set in the party-dress area, the same set we recolored white for Ancient Civilization and Runaway Bride; here its top and skirt are worn as two pieces and recolored separately. There is no hat in this look.

Start with the shoes: at the shoe shelf, take the tan lace-up work boots at the far right of the bottom row. The color panel opens at “1/4: Preview” with HEX #8c755d; we kept that tan and pressed “Put On”. The long skirt hides them later, so no runway picture shows them.

Go to the tiered gown mannequin next to the shoe shelf and click the skirt. The panel opens at “1/5: Skirt”, in its default peach (HEX #f0b0a0).

Open the Palette tab and click the dark red heart (first column, row 6) for parts 1 and 2. The panel then shows “3/5: Flower Details”; we left the other parts as they were. Press “Put On”.

Click the same gown’s strapless bandeau top and set its first part to brown, then press “Put On”. It keeps a pink rosette trim along the top edge, and the wide silver concho-style belt comes with the gown set.
Check the Wearing panel: the work boots, the braids, the skirt and the top. The pictures there keep the pieces’ original colors, even after recoloring.

The finished look on the Freeplay Runway: brown double braids with the white bow and bangs, the brown bandeau with its pink rosette trim, the silver disc belt at the waist, and the red tiered ruffle skirt falling to the floor in layers.

Look 2: classic cowgirl look

Our idea: a rodeo-style cowgirl, with a wide hat, a light prairie dress, a suede-look vest and brown boots. Everything comes from one mannequin: the cowgirl mannequin in front of the tops units, left of the Halloween display, wears the hat, the dress and the boots. We reused the braids and the soft glam face from Look 1.

Click the hat on the cowgirl mannequin. The panel opens at “1/3: Hat”, and the third part is labelled “Lace”. We set parts 1 and 3 to a brown from the top row and part 2 to a darker brown, then pressed “Put On”. On the runway the hat shows as a light tan, straw-look wide brim with a white bow on the crown.

Click the boots on the same mannequin and press “Put On” in their default brown.
Take Look 1’s skirt, top and work boots off: open the Wearing panel and click the heart X under each piece. The pieces left move over to fill the gaps.

Click the mannequin’s dress. The panel opens at “1/6: Dress”: six parts. We kept the default colors and pressed “Put On”.

The finished look on the runway: the wide-brim hat over the brown braids, a white lace-and-floral prairie dress with long sleeves and a lace hem, a tan suede-look vest over it, a thin brown tie at the neck, and the brown boots at the bottom of the picture. We did not note a pose for this look; it stands with the arms down.

Look 2 on the runway from the front: wide-brim tan hat, brown braids, white lace-and-floral prairie dress with a tan suede-look vest and a brown tie at the neck
Look 2, the cowgirl look.

From behind, the tan vest covers the back above the floral skirt, the hat’s wide brim frames the head, and the braids fall over the vest. The boots are slouchy brown calf boots with fringe.

Why these looks read as Wild West

A Wild West look works when one glance at the runway says frontier. The cowgirl look gets there with the classic pieces: a wide hat, brown boots and a suede-look vest over a light floral dress. The saloon look takes the other side of the old West: red ruffles that move on the runway, a fitted brown top and a big silver belt. Keep the colors warm and earthy (browns, tans, cream and one strong red) and stay away from metallics or neon. That is plain styling advice, not a score: we have not seen how either look does in a real round.

How to get a cowboy hat in Dress To Impress

  1. Go to the Dressing Room and find the cowgirl mannequin in front of the tops units, to the left of the Halloween display. It wears a wide-brim hat, a floral dress with a vest and brown boots.
  2. Click the hat so it shows on you as a preview. It has three color parts (“1/3: Hat” to “3/3: Lace”).
  3. Set each part’s color with the Palette tab while it previews, then press “Put On”.
  4. A brown cowboy hat also sits on the hat wall, on the top shelf, fourth from the left. We did not wear that one for these looks.
  5. To recolor a hat you already wear, open the Wearing panel, click its picture and set the colors again.

Poses for Wild West

Any free pose from the Poses menu works; the Solo list starts with Satin, Lilac, Dazzle, Pearly, Crystal, Sparkle and Daisy. We used Dazzle, a hand at the waist, for the saloon look. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and set every part’s color without a round running out. That matters here: the skirt has five color parts, the dress six and the hat three, and the braids need a recolor before they fit the theme. The tiered gown mannequin, the shoe shelf and the cowgirl mannequin are all in the Dressing Room, and the vanity and hair chairs are in Lana’s Salon. Once a look works, you know where to go when Wild West comes up in a real round. For more themes built the same way, see our Boho, Robot Takeover, Album Cover, Potion Maker, Monochrome Mood, Divine Beings, Drag, Sweet 16, Camouflage, Deserted Island, Summer Cruise, Favorite Show, Fairytale, Cotton Candy Couture, Cyberpunk, Birth Stones, Y2K Popstar, Video Game Character, Top Model, Fast Food Mascot, DJ, Award Show, Drama Queen, Instagram Model, Day of the Dead, Malibu Dream, Stained Glass, Summer Camp, Modern Royalty, Trad Goth, Wonderland, Trip To London, Pop Art Princess, Sugar And Spice, Paranormal Investigator, Cursed Lagoon, Complementary Colors, Galactic Glam, Dancer, Midnight Circus, Jellyfish, Garden Tea Party, Enchanted Curse, Harvest Festival, Thrifted, Lazy But Cute, Possessed, Night At The Orchard, Bioluminescent Depths, Coronation, Your Country, Reality Television, Subway Rush, Candlelit Library, Dystopia, Decora, Vaporwave, Gymnastics, NPC Core, Webbed In Style, Punk, Seifuku, Sport, Grocery Run, Dolls, Black Lace, Holiday Break, 1990s, Douyin, Retail Worker, Boardwalk Babe, Casino Night, Dark Harvest, Cloud 9, Meme, Runaway Bride, Spoiled Rotten, Ancient Civilization and Color Split outfit ideas.

How a theme round works

We have not had Wild West as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Wild West to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Wild West, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not look for fringe jackets, bandanas, denim or belts other than the one on the gown set, and we did not try the hat wall’s cowboy hat in a look. We did not note which exact brown, darker brown and cream hearts we used, or a pose for Look 2. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

What is Wild West in Dress To Impress?

It is a round theme. The game shows only the name, so most players read it as cowgirl, cowboy or saloon style from the old American frontier.

What should I wear for Wild West in DTI?

A wide-brim hat, brown fringed boots and a tan suede-look vest over a white floral prairie dress, or a red tiered ruffle skirt with a brown bandeau and a silver concho belt for a saloon look.

Can I do Wild West without VIP?

Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece and color used here worked on it.

Where is the cowboy hat in Dress To Impress?

The wide-brim hat we used is on the cowgirl mannequin in front of the tops units, left of the Halloween display. A brown cowboy hat also sits on the hat wall, top shelf, fourth from the left.

How do I recolor hair in Dress To Impress?

Open the Wearing panel, click the hair’s picture and use the Palette tab. Step through the parts with the arrows: our braids have three parts, and we set parts 1 and 2 to brown and part 3 to cream.

Where are the brown cowgirl boots?

On the same cowgirl mannequin as the hat and the floral dress. For a hidden pair under a long skirt, the tan lace-up work boots are on the shoe shelf, bottom row, far right.
