Two Ancient Civilization looks, a Greek goddess white tiered gown with gold trim and an Egyptian white robe with a gold hood, with the exact shelves, colors and poses.

Ancient Civilization (searched most as “ancient civilization dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so we read it the way most players will: ancient Greece, Rome or Egypt, with white draped clothes, gold accents, sleek dark hair and gold shoes. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a Greek goddess and an Egyptian robe, and took our own pictures of every step. Every piece and color here worked without Robux, so both looks work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: For Ancient Civilization, wear a white ruffle bandeau and a white floor-length tiered skirt with a gold belt and hem, or a long white robe with a gold hood and gold belt. Add long sleek black hair and gold strappy heels.

Ancient Civilization outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and its color on the Default palette (rows from the top, columns from the left). Set a piece’s colors while it is still a preview, stepping through its parts with the arrows beside the part label (“1/5: Preview” and so on), then press “Put On”. Closing the color panel while a piece is previewing also kept it on for us. The black top and shorts in some pictures are the base body; the clothes cover them.

Two things we looked for and did not find. There is no metallic or shiny gold finish among the colors and prints, so the “gold” in both looks is the yellow column of the palette, which shows as a bright yellow on the clothes. We also saw no free crown, laurel wreath or gold headpiece; in Look 2 the hood of the robe, recolored gold, does the job of a headdress.

Hair and shoes for both looks

Set these up first: both looks keep the same hair and sandals.

Recolor your hair black. We wore long sleek hair with a small bun at the crown; open the Wearing panel, click the hair picture and click the last heart of the bottom row.

Look 1: Greek goddess in white and gold

Our idea: a goddess in a white strapless ruffle top and a long white tiered skirt, with gold at the edges and the waist.

Find the mannequin in the long pink tiered ruffle gown with a leopard-print hat. It stands beside a pillar near the shoe shelf, with the Lana’s Salon arches behind it.

Set Skirt, Leopard Print and the third part to white (bottom row, first heart), then Hemline and Belt to gold. Press “Put On”. On you it is a white floor-length tiered skirt with a gold hem and a gold belt.

Look 2: Egyptian white robe with a gold hood

Our idea: a long white robe with a gold hood framing the face and a gold belt, closer to Egypt than Greece.

Take Look 1’s top and skirt off: open the Wearing panel and click the heart X under each picture. Keep the hair and sandals on. The base black top and shorts show for now.

Why these looks read as Ancient Civilization

White cloth with gold at the edges is the picture most players have of ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt, so both looks stay in those two colors. Look 1 is the Greek version: a bare-shouldered top, a long skirt and gold at the waist and hem. Look 2 is the Egyptian version: a long robe that covers the arms, and a gold hood that frames the face where a headdress would sit. Both keep the hair sleek and dark and the shoes gold. That is plain styling advice, not a history lesson, and we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.

Look 1 uses the same tiered gown mannequin as the long gown in our Runaway Bride outfit ideas, there in all white. For more gowns and gold, see our Divine Beings outfit ideas, Modern Royalty outfit ideas, Coronation outfit ideas, Fairytale outfit ideas and Your Country outfit ideas.

How to get gold in Dress To Impress

  1. Click the piece so it shows on you as a preview, and pick the part with the arrow beside the part label.
  2. Click the yellow column (8th from the left), row 6, of the Default palette. That is the closest to gold we found; it shows as a bright yellow on the clothes.
  3. Do the same for every part you want gold, then press “Put On”.
  4. To recolor a piece you already wear, open the Wearing panel, click its picture and set the colors again.
  5. There is no metallic gold finish, so pair the yellow with plenty of white: next to white it reads as gold trim rather than a yellow outfit.

Poses for Ancient Civilization

Any free pose from the Poses menu works; the Solo list starts with Satin, Lilac, Dazzle, Pearly, Crystal, Sparkle and Daisy. We used Lilac, a hand on the hip, for the Greek goddess and Satin for the Egyptian robe. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and set every part’s color without a round running out. That matters here: the top and the skirt have five parts each, and a part left on its default color shows pink. The gown mannequin and the shoe shelf are close together, and the robe is in the dresses and stockings corner. Once a look works, you know where to go when Ancient Civilization comes up in a real round. How a theme round works

We have not had Ancient Civilization as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Ancient Civilization to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Ancient Civilization, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We found no metallic gold and no free crown, laurel or gold headpiece, but we did not search every shelf for jewelry or cuffs. We did not change the face or makeup for these looks. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

What is Ancient Civilization in Dress To Impress?

It is a round theme. The game shows only the name, so players usually dress as someone from ancient Greece, Rome or Egypt: white draped clothes, gold accents and sleek dark hair.

What should I wear for Ancient Civilization in DTI?

A white ruffle bandeau and a white floor-length tiered skirt with a gold belt and hem for a Greek goddess, or a long white robe with a gold hood and gold belt for an Egyptian look. Both go with long sleek black hair and gold strappy heels.

Can I do Ancient Civilization without VIP?

Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece and color used here worked on it.

Is there metallic gold in Dress To Impress?

We did not find a metallic or shiny gold finish. The closest is the yellow column of the Default palette, row 6, which shows as a bright yellow; with white around it, it reads as gold trim.

Is there a free crown or laurel for Ancient Civilization?

We saw none. Look 2 uses the hood of a long white robe, recolored gold, as a headdress instead.

Which shoes go with Ancient Civilization?

We used the strappy stiletto sandals from the middle of the shoe shelf, next to the white fluffy fur jacket stand, with all three parts set to gold. The same pair works for both looks.
